Instead USC and Florida both dropped their scholarship offers, rumored to be because of off-the-field issues. Ambles then verbally committed to Tennessee until Lane Kiffin left UT. Now it appears, Ambles will get the best of both worlds for him as he'll get to go to USC, which had been his favorite prior to the Pete Carroll staff rescinding his scholarship offer, and he'll get to play under Kiffin, who is a coach he really likes.
